ERC Advanced Grant project hosted our fifth workshop, titled “Women and Transitions in the Iberian Peninsula in the 1970s”.

Participating speakers were:

Giulia Strippoli (Universidade NOVA de Lisboa) – Women in Revolution. Women’s groups during the Carnation Revolution in Portugal.

 

Giulia Quaggio (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) – Being a Militant Woman in the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) during the Transition to Democracy: from Marginalisation to Quotas.

 

Mónica Moreno-Seco (Universidad de Alicante) – Political Commitment, Feminist Mobilization and Personal Transgression. Communist Women in the Spanish Transition to Democracy.

The event was held online via Zoom on Wednesday, 19th May and led by PI prof. dr. Marta Verginella.
